I'm spoiled
This is what was the box from my sister. Just look at those pretty colours!
Rip paper, rip paper and what do you see? An issue of Cloth Paper Scissor, some foam stamp thingies which look very interesting (it's a bit hard to take a picture of, sorry), some pretty fabric, which I would never have picked, but absolutely love (this is what sister are for, right? knowing what we like even when we don't ourselves), some crochet hooks and a very short jacket type garment (that's the red, white and gold thing on the right). There was also 3 issues of Adorn in the parcel, but I actually paid for those myself, so that's not really a present, heh.
And then there was this beauty. I also bought this myself, but had it sent to my sister because having it sent to England would have cost me a fortune. Those are Star Wars stamps in case you hadn't guessed. I bought them last year; they celebrate 30 years of SW. Weeee!
Won't be getting to those emails tonight either. I'm going to have an early night, because today at work I was completely in a world of my own because I was so tired! Pathetic. ;-)Labels: family, oh so pretty, star wars

My little house is happy
Look, these are the ink pads I got at Hobbycraft at the weekend (they were on offer, £6.99, they'll go up to £9.99, but you might still be able to nab them at the reduced price, if you are so inclined. They are some lovely colours, huh?
This is what they look like in my sketchbook.
And speaking of sketchbooks -or journals- have you heard of the 1000 journals project (journals set free in the world for people to fill in and maybe they come home, maybe they don't). Now there's a new one, the 1001 journals where anyone can send a journal out into the world and you can share with anyone or a group of people.
So I was thinking, would some of you be interested in 'sharing' a journal (sketchbook, whatever you wanna call it)? You don't have to be able to draw or paint or anything. You can collage or write or embroider the pages..anything... Any takers? ;-)
Did I strike gold or what on Tuesday? I was walking down Berwick Street when I stumbled upon a lovely little art supply shop. Of course I had to go in! And look at this: 45 watercolour half pans for £20. Considering I paid 1.35 for a single one in Hobbycraft... Oh yeah, SCORE!
Anyway. The reason my little house is happy is that first it showed up on the fab blog allsorts (which I think you should read!) and then it popped up* on Cuteable (also fab and read-worthy!) It's funny, because it's ages since I made that little house, but lately I've been thinking of plush houses again.

The cinnamon buns in your hair start to grow mold
I put this image on the wardi.dk page yesterday. It was in need of some decoration. :-)
I'm absolutely knackered, so my intentions of getting some emails written tonight will lead nowhere. If you're expecting an email from me, I must ask for your patience a little longer.
Instead you can have a read of this geeky Star Wars thing sent to me in an email from one of my friends. It's long, I must confess; and I even shortened it to get rid of the not so funny bits. If you want, I'd happy to send the whole thing to you. ;-)
Right, I'm off to snuggle under a blanket in front of the telly.
You can recite *all* the dialogue from the trilogy.
You watch the entire trilogy at least once a month.
You wonder why the SW theme never makes it into those "clasical collections."
Whenever you went to the beach with your friends, you always walked single file, to hide your numbers.
You've written several letters to the Prime Minister recommending that he dissolve the council, put power in the hands of the regional governors, and let fear keep the local systems in line.
When trying unsuccessfully to snare that last Cheerio floating in your cereal bowl, you remarked, "The Force is strong with this one."
On Halloween, you would never dress as: Luke, Han Solo, Leia, Vader, Chewie, Threepio, Artoo.
However, you would dress as: Wedge, Porkins, Crix Madine, that spider droid from Jabba's palace that fat dancer from Jabba's palace, Sy Snootles, the Cantina bartender. The monster in the trash compactor, Boba Fett, An Imperial probe droid.
You've been pulled over by a policeman, and when asked to see your driver's license you replied, "You don't need to see my identification." And when he asks about your two friends in the back "They're for sale, if you want them."
You have held up an onion ring and said, "Look sir...droids!"
While sitting on the couch with your girlfriend, she comments about being cold. So, naturally, you slice open the side of the cushion and stuff her in.
You answer the phone "Die wanna wanga?"
Whenever you buy a new appliance, you make sure to get one that speaks Bocce.
When someone apologizes to you, you choke him and tell him that you accept his apology.
You ride your motorbike through the forest at top speed, and survive after throwing yourself off just before it hits a tree.
You've 'wielded' a flashlight and made humming sounds.
You wave your hand purposefully and 'use the force' to open and close automatic doors or elevator doors.
When accelerating your car to enter the motorway, you tell your passengers to strap in and prepare for light speed.
Your significant other dumps you because every time she/he says, "I love you" you always respond, "I know."
When leaving a restaurant, you can't resist signing Boba Fett or Darth Vader in the guestbook.
You went through a state of depression when Chewie died (EU).
You look at "big hairy carpets" with more respect than before.
You speak Huttese.
You could have sworn you saw bantha tracks during your trip to the grand canyon.
Every time somebody sneezes, you say, "May the force be with you."

You went to the nearest recruiting centre and asked to be assigned to the 121st TIE squadron
While listening to the soundtrack without knowing the name of the song you are listening to, you know exactly what's happening while it’s playing.
In foreign language class, you tell the teacher, "Hey! If I'm fluent in over six million forms of communication, then how come I'm getting such a bad grade in this class?"
When your friends confide in you and tell you their deepest, darkest secrets, you say, "You are far too trusting."
When your dad says, "You will do as I tell you, I am your father," you begin to scream uncontrollably and shout, "NOOOO! It's not true! That's impossible!!" at the top of your lungs.
You now want to become an astronaut to see if there really is a Lando system.

Done and done!
I finished baby Amelia's blanket today and it's sooooo pretty, I'm totally in love with it!!
Here's a couple of pictures of the finished clone trooper t-shirt. Steven was well chuffed with it - and it was so cool to give it to him in person yesterday!
Yesterday was a really fun day, but I'm still sorta digesting it all. Not to mention sorting through the hundreds (!) of pictures! Alas, a lot of them are horribly blurred and not really worth keeping. For anyone who's interested, expect some Celebration Europe pictures next week.

Cause for celebration!
Today is the 30th anniversary of Star Wars (the first film, anyway!). I love these films, on so many levels. Not least because they are the reason I'm together with my sweet Tony. But that's a different story.
I think I'll wear a wee SW pin to work today. Just because...
And I can't wait 'till July when we're going to the SW Celebration in London - my birthday present from Tony! Oi, his girlfriend is such a geek. ;-)

Sock Chewie
Chewie as a sock puppet. Isn't it fabulous?? Crafty AND Star Wars. You gotta love that! It's made by Kanja Chen. And there's also one of Darth Maul!
These are so cool - I feel like making Star Wars softies now! ^_^
