Giveaway winners
Goodness gracious me, have I been trippin' down memory lane today or what! I've been going through some boxes of my stuff that's in my parents' loft. It's kinda cool and creepy and weird all at the same time. My hair and glasses in some of the photos.. my goodness! But I have also unearthed (unboxed?) some long lost friends (i.e. books) so it's not all an 80s nightmare.
Anyway, I digress, I am supposed to tell you who won my little giveaway. Picked completely randomly by me - not some fancy-pants random number picker thingy. ;-)
I am very happy to have sent a copy of Small Stitches to Chedderfish and the Pompeii Arabesque embroidery pattern to Elisa and Ulla. Enjoy your stitchy goodies, ladies! :-)
Once again, thank you all very much for your comments and tweeting and stuff! You really are awesome. :-)Labels: give-away

Small Stitches giveaway
Happy Wednesday! I would like to thank those who have supported my little book in one way or another. From the bottom of my heart: thank you. I really, really appreciate it. You rock my world!
Now, I want to give something back (apart from the free pattern which you can get right here). 1 copy of the book and 2 x the Pompeii Arabesque pattern (see picture above).
You can enter the give away in three ways:
- leave a comment on this post, telling me either why you love embroidery or why you would like to learn embroidery (don't forget to fill in the email field so I cancontact you)
- tweet about the book, with a link to the book's page - don't forget to add @carinaeh in the tweet so I can find it! :-)
- blog about it, then either email me or come back here and leave a comment with a link to your blog post
You are more than welcome to do more, or all, of these, it will only increase your chance of gettin' your mitts on a pattern or the book! :-)
You have until midnight on Monday (September 7) and I will pick the winner on Tuesday.
The give away has ended. Thank you all soooo very much for your comments! I'll let you know who is the happy winner tomorrow! :-)

We have a winner
Hey, hey! Before I get dinner under way I thought I'd better do the announcing thing: after going through a very scientific, yet random, selection process (aka close your eyes and point on the screen) we now have a winner: Maryse.
And boy, do y'all like spring! Thank you so much for the comments of spring and pattern love, they are very, very much appreciated! And my favourite thing about spring? Well, that is easy: my birthday! Which is at the end of April - so not long now. And I don't care about getting old and stuff - I am going to celebrate my birthday every year and be excited about it, for no particular reason. :-)Labels: give-away

Summer for you
So... some crafting actually does happen here from time to time! And here's the proof. Lots of pictures - I'm sorry if you OD on the colourificness of this post! But it is worth it to read on 'till the end of the post. ;-)
I made these bracelets last night. I first made one to wear at work yesterday. I like wearing a tiny little thing that I made. To balance all the cheap soul less stuff that comes from Asia that I have to put on the shelves.
Yummy colours, I think. I really like the green one. There's a surprise, eh?
But the pink and orange is nice too. Raspberry ice cream?
Oh here's a close up of the green one. Even better!
That middle one is really nice too. Those colours make me think of the 70's...
These are all quite summery. I like summer. We have summer right now, actually! Albeit a very windy one! But that's good I suppose; prevents it to become unbearably hot.
Oh good, you made it to the end. To celebrate summer (and the fact that there's less than 3 months 'till we're getting married!) I'm giving away one of these babies. So if you want in, leave a comment telling the internets what your favourite flavour of ice cream is. Or, if you don't like ice cream, your favourite summer treat. Hope you're having a lovely weekend!
P.S. Remember to fill in the email field so I can contact you. :-)
Edit: Thanks for the comments, guys. You sure do like your ice cream, huh? Some of them I've never even heard of before! Anyway, this is it, if you're reading this you are too late! Oh boo! I'm sorry... I'll post the winner tomorrow. :-)

The winners!
Right-o, I'm very happy to announce the give-away winners. By using the very scientific method of writing names on little strips of paper and then picking out two names:
Liz of altered life is the happy (I hope! he he) recipient of a Happyscape. And Julia of Miss Frugality will get this little brooch in the mail. I hope you like your prizes, m'ladies!
I want to say thank you to all of you who left a comment. And I'm sorry that I couldn't pick all of you.
I also want to say that I'm sorry for generally being really sucky at replying to comments. I really am horrible when it comes to that, so I feel quite undeserving of all the comments you left for me. I am trying to better myself, though. Although, Yoda would say "do or do not, there is no try". So here's to doing! Thanks, guys! :-)Labels: give-away
