Anybody else getting the GMail plug when you log in to Blogger?

So, I'd like to say "all my bags are packed, I'm ready to go", but errr..that would be a lie. I'm a habitual last-minute packer. ;-) And I'm not leaving till tomorow morning; no need to hurry.. ;-)

We might be going to Loch Ness, although it's one heck of a drive from Glasgow, almost 4 hours. And we can't take turns by the wheel, cos there's no way I'll drive in the UK. Atleast not till have taken some driving lessons. Darn Brits, driving in the wrong side of the road! :-b

Time to pack atleast some of the stuff.. In my new pink suitcase. How cool is that? Atleast it'll be easy to spot at the baggage claim! ;-D

Countries that drive on the left

- Americas: Bermuda, Caribbean islands (except Martinique, Guadeloupe, Netherlands Antilles, Aruba, Cuba, Haiti and Dominican Republic) Guyana, Suriname, Falkland Islands
- Europe: UK (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man), Ireland, Malta, Cyprus
- Africa: south and southeast (including Mauritius and Seychelles, but not Madagascar)
- Asia: South Asia (except Afghanistan); Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, South East Asia (except the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar)
- Oceania: all (including Australia, but not Samoa, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna)

Sooo.. I went to see Big Fish with my friend Louise today. Was great for three reasons, 1) I haven't seen Louise in what seems like ages, 2) the film was excellent, 3) it has Ewan McGregor in it. Yummy. ;-)
It's directed by Tim Burton, and it has amazing imagery, his style fits this lovely tale beautifully. And for the soundtrack aficionados*, the music is excellent; by Danny Elfman.

Alright, a few numbers to ponder:
< 48 - The number of hours till we're in Scotland.
6 - The number of days till my sister comes home from California.
4 - The number of days till my birthday.
4 - The number of bracelets I'm wearing right now.
3 - The number of mobile phones I've owned.
2 - The number of shoe pairs I'm taking with me to Scotland.
1 - The number of (pink!) suit cases I'm taking with me.

Fascinating, huh?

Do you ever suddenly realise something about yourself, and later, when you try to think of what it was.. the thought is gone... and all you remember is having this realisation..? I guess it's like trying to remember a dream.

There are some fish that can't be caught. It's not that they're bigger or faster then the other fish, they're just touched by something extra.

*Yes, they deliver to Greece as well. ;-)

Oh joy! Yesterday I found my Document cd (by REM), which had been missing for months! As I suspected it was in the wrong cd case, but who has time to look through 100's of cd cases? So I had accepted the fact that my beloved cd was gone.

I'm wearing my new glasses! I love them! And I love the place where I bought them. They have an excellent service there, it took less than a week from I ordered the glasses till I could pick them up. And I got a discount because it's the same place I get my contact lenses from.

Does talking a lot make one more interesting?

Does more want more?

I'm afraid that in a lot of cases, it does. What's really fucked is when it tears families apart, or creates bad vibes in families.

So many TV channels, and so little worth watching. Thank the Force for the Sex and the City marathon. Shame it's so late in the evening. In a way, I don't like the show, cause they're so shallow and I can't in any way relate to their obsession with shoes and clothes, neither can I relate to their obsession with men. But then, some rather amusing points about men and women do come across at times. It's all good.

Things that I can't stand.

People who discard the use of common sense, and let their actions and opinions be ruled solely by religion.

People who go on and on about the same thing or person, and constantly refer to it.

When people excuse their actions with religion.

Narrow-minded people who have little respect for others.

I love the spring. I really, really do. The leaves are turning green and there are flowers in the garden, birds are singing and it's all gorgeous. :-) I had actually taken some pictures outside earlier today, but.. my camera doesn't seem to want to play, so that'll have to wait for some other day...

I'm trying to locate the site where I got a countdown to Ep. II thingy for my desktop, but as yet, with no luck. Any suggestions?

Alright, so in one month, our crown prince, Frederik, is getting hitched to miss Mary Donaldson of Tasmania. And since there are probably some people out there who don't know what the happy couple looks like, here they are. Don't say I don't 'cater' properly to my visitors. ;-p

If you click on the image, you'll be teleported to the website of the Crown Prince

Apparently this is all I can think about these days. T minus 12 days.

Not the map of course, silly muppet.

I'm getting new glasses! After almost 7 years with the old pair, I thought it was time to replace them. So, now I just have to decide on the frame I want. Got 3 frames home with me, to choose from, but..I think I've already made my mind up. Square-shaped and red. Lovely.

I didn't get much sleep last night. My parents are away and I don't like being alone in the house. And last night, I reckon I had slept about an hour when a loud noise woke me up... So jumped out of bed and threw on some clothes and went through the house, turning on a lot of light. Of course there was nothing... I think it may have been some plastic crates, stacked outside, that had fallen over. Probably a cat that knocked them over. *sigh* Another reason to hate cats. *adds it to the list*

In two weeks we'll be in Scotland. How bloody great is that?? I hope we can go to see Loch Lomond, but since we are staying in Glasgow, it shouldn't be too hard to get there. Loch One, Loch Two, Loch Lomond.

I have a rant about weblogs, but I can't be bothered writing it now. The sun is shining and I'm just too darn good mood to want to spoil it. The weather was fantastic yesterday, and I even managed to get a bit of a sunburn on my arm. How 'bout that?

Good Friday. It's starting off with sunshine and birds singing outside, so it looks like it will indeed, be a good day. Speaking of good. I suppose you have been good, y'all, so without further ado:

Chris, you were right, kind of, so turn on your image viewing! Hehe. :-p

I'm currently working on a website for an artist I know, and I'd be glad to have some input from y'all. The site dummy is here: clickety-click!

OK, confession time. I find my self humming BS' "Toxic" a lot recently. I don't like her, but this song is kinda ok, there's still more "moaning" in the song/her voice, than I'd like though... And the video is tasteless, but I guess that's an artform in itself. :-|
A bit on the same note, I found my SW EU books (all 3 of them!) when I moved, and I thought I'd finish reading them, before I throw them away. Hehehehehe. :-p

Yesterday I spent in the lovely company of my father's side of the family. *blink* I meant to say that in a sarcastic tone of voice. At best, I have nothing in common with that part of my family, at worst, I can't stand them. So, fun. :-|

Funny observation about my family (as you may know, I'm currently living with my mum and dad, so I get to "observe" them at close quarters..;-} ), the first thing we do, when we come home, is turn on our computers. The same thing is the case in the morning.

Attention readers from!

It seems that it's quite surprising to some people that I, after having been a "Hyperspacer", have changed back to being black. There's a simple reason for it: I don't want any spoilers, and so I could not use Hyperspace to it's full, because then I would undoubtedly have encountered such spoilers. Hence, it was a waste of money just to have a red SN and an avatar. So, I decided that, for my part, Hyperspace had to go.

And to be honest, Hyperspace isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Unless you are some fanboy/girl who lives and breathes SW! :-p

Anyway, seeing as Easter's upon us, I may have a surprise for y'all. If you're good. ;-)

If you have nothing better to do, and I assume you don't (hehe), go check this out: When animals go very, very bad. A word of advice, though: The "you might die laughing at this" factor is quite high. Ye be warned. ;-)

So, in 3 weeks we'll be in Scotland. More than a week together; that's the longest time we've spent together in one.."go". Damn, I can barely wait! :-D
And when we're back from Scotland there'll only be like another three weeks till I go back to England for almost a week.

Long distance sucks, but in a way it's also a blessing, 'cause it makes you appreciate the time together so much more! And you have to make up for all the days spent apart. He. He. He. ;-)

Ways to annoy your Public Bathroom Stallmate - caught that on Princess' blog, and it's the funniest thing I've read in a long time! :-D

Speaking of princesses... There's so much shit around about the upcoming royal wedding, it's making me sick! I, for one, will be avoiding it all, so there! Carlsberg has jumped the wedding wagon: Carlsberg Crown, which, sadly "will not be sold in Australia".
Or how about some lovely candles with the happy couple-to-be?
However, the most stupid thing I've heard in connection with this wedding, is that someone's suggested that farmers shouldn't be allowed to spread..errr....manure (??) on their fields that day, so the smell wouldn't annoy anybody. The chairman of the "farmers' association" said that it would be far better if farmers would be more considerate in this matter when their own neighours get married. Duhhh!

Oh well.

Although it should be fairly obvious; the blog has a new look.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what I've spent this Saturday doing. I didn't go to work. I called in sick, and I don't feel bad about doing that. ;-)

Now I'll go cook myself some dinner, I think I deserve that. Hehe!

It is done then. The flat is emptied, cleaned and the keys are handed over. That door has closed behind me forever, so to speak. I've been living there for more than three years, and I guess it had become a home. Despite it being a very small flat. I'm gonna miss living there, miss the view, miss when T was there with me and it really was a home. Our home.

I guess the worst thing is that..I don't know where I'll be in 6 months. I hate the uncertainty. But there's no use in worrying about it.

Anyway. On Tuesday I went to see the opera "Lucia di Lammermoor" by Donizetti. I wanted to see this opera for a specific reason: the aria that the Diva sings in 5th Element is from this opera. And I was so amazed by it that when I found out it was from a real opera, I knew I had to see it in..its natural setting, so to speak. But looking back, I don't think I would have gone to see it if I had known that the aria is in the third act and the rest of the opera is boring. More boring than watching paint dry. Several times I almost fell asleep several times. Compared to Tosca, which I saw a couple of years ago, it was a huge disappointment. *sigh*
