My pal Dubya is a tea totaler.. Apparently he hasn't always been.. Looky, looky: Arrest of George W. Bush for driving under the influence of alcohol. Naughty, naughty.

Related, is this. This is a weird site.. the extension .org ought to mean that this is the official White House website. However, the content and the..uhh..layout seems a bit off. For example this part, about the First Lady, is amusing. Look at the images and especially the one of Her First Ladyness, in the header. The whole site is laughable..especially because of the wording. And considering the amount of ads on the's a joke.. This here, is the real maccoy. Whether it's much better, I'll leave unsaid..

Kind of related, is this: Bill Gates - traffic violation.

That's it then.. back to the cleaning. I hate cleaning.. :-\

Blimey! Now my neighbour is listening to Beverly Craven at max volume. AGAIN! I like Beverly Craven..but not on a regular basis and not blaring through the walls from next door! Gahh, she better be brokenhearted, there's no other reason for this kind of behaviour!

In three months I have to move out of this flat, becos it's a "student's flat" (which means a low rent) and I'm no longer a student.. It sucks, cos I like my small flat with the beautiful view. It's the nicest place I've lived. I don't know where I'll be living in three months though. Probably end up at my parents' for a couple of months. But no longer than that, or I'll go bonkers! ;-)
Anyway, becos I'm moving, and moving to England eventually, I have to go through my stuff. And I might as well start now.. take it bit by bit in stead of having to do it all in one week or something... So now I got several bags of old magazines to be taken to recycling, clothes (going to secondhand) and trash..
The funny thing about going through stuff like this, is that things you forgot, you had, surface. Some things I just can't believe I've kept.. Why didn't I throw away that broken clock? Other things bring back a lot of memories, like letters from two girls I met when I was in Rome the first time, taking a language course. I wonder what's happened to them..? And there's a magazine from the day I was born, that my mum gave to me some years back. Photographs of people I haven't seen in ages, old postcards from Tunisia.. Memory lane..

Been playing around a bit with the blog.. Added some bits and pieces.. I've gotten into a habit of cruising other blogs and it seems like the overall tredns is to have a blog that is either black, grey or some other neutral colour, with maybe a photo to liven it up a bit.. Very minimalistic usually. I don't know, I like my blog. I like the what if I'm not trendy? Never have been, why start now? ;-)

So, Juan has been in Europe for little over a week now. I hope he is enjoying himself - and staying out of trouble! Heh! It must be weird to leave everything to go to another continent where you hardly know anybody and have no real plans.. I'm not sure I'd..dare such a thing! I hope he's got a traveler's insurance! ;-p I'm looking forward to seeing him and hearing all about the first leg of his travel. :-)

I have been very lazy of late. Going to bed fairly early, but sleeping till noon even! That ain't good. Sleep is good, and I'm sure I was somewhat lacking of sleep after the exams and all.. But this is too much! I'm not getting things done! I need to get my website done and clean the flat and ..and..and!! Maybe it's becos of the cold? Which seems to be going away now. Thank the Force.

My cold is only getting worse, thank you very much. But..oh well.. As long as it stays a cold and doesn't turn into a flu, I think I should be happy. I hate being sick *whine, whine*.

This morning I saw the most amazing sunrise. A thick layer of clouds were hanging very low over the peninsula on the other side of the bay, so there was only a small break between the clouds and the land. At first there was a thin line of deep orange, then it turned more and more golden and coloured the clouds and the sky, so it was a palette of golds and oranges and pinks. Finally the sun itself rose above the peninsula and it was an explosion of gold. So beautiful! I tried taking pictures of it, but didn't turn out very well, I'm afraid.

Got some work done on the website yesterday. Will be very me. There's a banana for you if you can guess the main colour. ;-) I'd like to have it up and runing before Christmas, but since we have the main Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve, that probably ain't gonna happen. So I'm aiming for New Year's.

Now I got all the presents for Christmas, including the ones for T. Hehe. Just need to make some cards for the presents..

On Saturday my friends and I had our annual Christmas "party" (I say "party" like that because noone gets drunk and noone dances, we just eat and talk and listen to music..which is fine), and umm for some reason I always end up chatting with the guys about movies, British TV shows from the 80´s or cars or computers.. This time we actually ended up watching a couple of episodes of Young Ones. I don't I weird? ;-)

Aren't I the lucky one? Woke up this morning with a cold. I hate having a cold. I hate being sick, 'cos I always feel so fricking sorry for myself. Meh. That's the bad news. The good news is that it snowed last night, so now we have a thin white layer of the stuff everywhere. Does this mean we are to have a white Christmas this year? Well, if the temperature stays below 0°C, then the snow may stay.. 'Cos it doesn't look much like there'll be much snow coming in the next couple of days..

As it turned out, I didn't get round to doing more about the little thing of peace, sorry Ben. ;-) Of course, there's still time.. hehe..

I've worked out a plan for my website. Should be nice, once I get it done. Hopefully that'll happen within the next week or so. After all, it will kinda be my business yeah.. Anybody got a job for me? Preferably in the environs of South East London..well..Essex..

Found a bunch of links, and in order not to lose them, here they are (for relatively safe keeping, until I get a proper links section/page): - could come in handy..
Stereotypes - very interesting, try it out!
Google Weblog - how about that?
inter - Face - this is kinda spooky, but pretty cool too..
Internet Archive - what did your favourite website look like in the beginning??
J-Walk blog - just another blog... - Guardian Online's weblog
Page and Brin's Blog - apparently this is the blog of the people behind Google...
rabbit blog - I haven't really read that blog..I just think it looks cool.. I will read it, though. Promise!
Snowflake and Snow Crystal Photos - exactly what it says. Awesome!
Tattoodles - about tattoos...and no, I'm not getting one.
The dullest blog in the world - and you thought your life was boring..
urban exposure - art made of their own description: Cigarette packages, matchbooks, disposable lighters, plastic juice caps.... discarded materials which can be found in abundance on the streets and sidewalks of our cities. Exposed to the elements and the churning of the city, these objects individual journeys are etched into their surfaces over time. A collision of the man made material world and the forces of nature. I find that very interesting. - another handy one..

Well, that's it then...

I was fricking nervous that we might not pass that final exam and I think Lea was too. But, as it turned out, we did pass it. And it wasn't "just passed", no. The passing grade is 6 and we got an 8, so we were happy! This means that now I'm more school. Which is pretty weird. But great too! 'Cos it means that the constant guilty conscience over not having read all the stuff you needed to, or done all the work you were supposed to, has now lifted.

And my flat, which, for the better part of a month, has been looking like a bomb had hit it, is now back to its normal state of cluttered cleanliness. Bliss. I've actually been going through a lot of old papers and stuff... Oh my, that sure was a trip down memory lane, but since I want to get rid of the bad kharma (or whatever) in my life, I filled a whole carrier bag with some of all that stuff.

I called Juan last night, just to wish him a safe flight to Europe. Hehe, took him by surprise that I called. ;-D I'm looking forward to seeing him sometime in the new year. It is strange to think about being such good friends with someone that I've never met, only talked to on the phone a few times... So it's going to be interesting to meet him face to face.

Christmas presents update: I need one for my mother, one for my father and one for T. I knwo what I want to give them, so all I have to do is go to the shops and get them.

It snowed the other day..for like 30 mins.. and the snow disappeared almost before it touched the ground.. *sigh* It would be nice if we got a white Christmas, but even better if we had a white New Year.

New Year just can't come soon enough this year! I'm still only counting the days, but that's simply due to my feeble math skills. But come next week, it'll be down to counting hours. I just can't wait, I hate being away from him. Atleast my sister's in the same situation, so she can relate...

Well, since the season of stress and fighting with others for presents for our loved ones... here's a little thing of peace (I hope). :-)

It may change its appearance as the days grow shorter and draw closer to the festive holiday known as Christmas. And yes, I made it myself. :-)

Oh my, I haven't updated this thing for almost a week! ;-)

Well, update on the exam paper: we were done well in time for Lea to get it to the printer's at 9 am and we thought everything was absolutely peachy. But then it turns out that we had to hand in the project on a cd-rom and not just online.. This completely ruined my plan to make the website on friday afternoon, after handing in the paper. So while Lea was at the printer's, I had to get the website done.. and's not pretty. To be honest it looks like crap. And were not even allowed to make any changes to it afterwards.. So that totally sucks.

Yesterday I had an exam, which I passed, not with flying colours, but oh's over now. So one final exam on Tuesday and then it's all over. No more college, no more guilty conscience, no more... stress. YAY! :-D

And my sister came back from the US last night. It's good to see her again. Crappy thing that she's planning on going back there in February.. :-/

Christmas shopping. I hate it. So far I've got one prezzie for Henry and one for T. So I still need one for Henry and one for T and something for my dad who, as usual, doesn't have any Christmas wishes.. Why are fathers like that? It's annoying. And my mum, well.. we gonna think of something together, Henry and I.

Countin the days till New Year when T will be here... for almost 6 whole days... it seems so far away... *sigh* I hate this, being away from each other. It's not fair that we have to be apart. Grrr! I want to move there right now! I will eventually, though. Which reminds me that I'll have to sell pretty much all my stuff.. my furniture at umm...if anybody's interested in buying some book cases, a futon sofa/bed a chair and a table, y'all let me know, ok? ;-)

Apparently I'm this kind of postmodernist.... Dunno about the picture though... ;-)

Well then, the paper just needs to be printed and then bound. Then it's ready to be handed in. YAY! It's 6:30 am and I've been up for 23.5 hours... I need sleeeeeeep!!! LOL!
