Hey, this is just a wee 'house keeping' post. About comments.

I really appreciate when anyone takes the time to stop and leave a comment and I wish I had time to contact each and everyone of you to tell you in person.

But:

Please don't leave anonymous comments. It's like leaving messages on the voice mail of random strangers. It's a bit weird and can't be taken seriously, so people would delete those, right?

As do I. Regardless of whether your comment is positive or negative (although that's a completely different kettle of fish). If there's no email or name (or link to blog/website) I simply won't hit 'approve' on your comment.

The blog idea only works when there's some kind of connectivity going on. I like to visit the blogs of the people who stop by and leave comments, or email them if they have no blog. But if there is no way of knowing who you are that just makes me a little sad.

Other reasons your comment doesn't show up:

Your comment may be related to the post you are commenting on, but if it's not 'on topic' or relevant I might not approve it.

If it is negative for the sake of being negative. If you comment just to say that I suck, or another commenter sucks, well, I won't approve that. However, you are welcome to disagree with me (and others), if you can express it in a respectful manner.

It should go without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that comments that are racist or otherwise 'hating on' other people, for whatever reason, are a big N-O-NO.

I am paying the bills here, so I get to make the rules. ;-)
