Black and white cake
We made this cake last weekend for Nephew's after-birthday party on Sunday. It's a lemon drizzle cake, the same we had for our wedding. My part of the actual cake baking was grating and squeezing lemons. But after it had been iced, that's when I got to have some real fun. With icing sugar and BLACK food colour. Awesome. And it really was black.
The picture you see here is at the point when Tony thought that was plenty of decorating. But I still had plenty of icing left and it'd be a shame to waste it! Right?! So I added a bit more to the border. I mean, I had to, right?!
We both really like watching Ace of Cakes and maybe we are secretly wishing we could have that job... ;-)
