Cake and stuff
Finally got this picture off my phone. It is the cake we made for Mother's Day last weekend. We. Made. That! Well, Tony made the cake, we iced it together and I made the flowers and leaves. It was very well received! I wouldn't mind making cakes all the time with my sweetie.
But how many cakes can two people eat on a regular basis? ;-) I think we are going to have to make a fancy cake when we go to Denmark. It is rare to have the opportunity to make this sort of thing for my parents - better make the most of it...

Do you have easy access to Speedball Speedy-Carve (or Speedy-Stamp)? It is a pink block (6"x12") of eraser like material that you use to make stamps with... I can't find it anywhere here that it is not really expensive. The one place I've bought it from before, it is out of stock. Boo. If you are able to get your hands on some, maybe we can do a swap for something handmade, some fat quarters of vintage Danish fabric or a Happyscape or something? Happy to re-imburse you instead, as well.
Don't forget that there is 15% off everything in the shop all this weekend!Labels: cake, just stuff
