Glædelig Jul!

This is the intro to a julekalender (advent calendar - 24 episodes in December, some are for all ages, some are mostly for adults, some suck and some are classics) that was shown on Danish telly when I was a little kid. Jul i Gammelby, 'Christmas in Old Town' is a true classic and that tune just says Christmas to me. Probably to most Danes my age!

Well, it's Christmas Eve! And to Danes that IS Christmas, none of that presents in the morning nonsense for us. Nope, tonight is the night. Shame it's just the two of us, it makes singing carols and dancing arouind the tree a bit silly. Not to mention a bit difficult seeing as our tree is wedged in between the sideboard and the telly. But we are opening some of our presents tonight!

Speaking of which, Tony is chanting 'julegaver, julegaver, julegaver' ( = Christmas presents) right now. He's as excited as a little kid! ;-) But he can't have any 'til we've had dinner!

I would like to wish you a very merry Christmas. I hope you have a lovely and peaceful time with your loved ones.
