The one where I can't buy wine
Today I went to the supermarket to buy some stuff. One of the things I wanted to buy was a bottle of red wine for when my parents come over.
I got to the till to pay, and the bottle of red is first in line. "Have you got any ID?" asks the lady at the till. Which I haven't, so I have to leave the wine behind. In England the legal age for when you can buy alcohol is 18, but shop people can ask you to show ID if you look like you're under 21 as well. So, apparently, I look younger than 21!!
I know I look younger than my actual age* (people at work are always surprised when I tell them my age), but bloody hell, this is an all-time, er, low!
