I had pizza for dinner

Did I say yesterday that I was going to write a post for this blog? I did, didn't I? Yet another example of me overestimating how much I can get done in a given amount of time. I am not super-woman, after all. I did get the Feeling Stitchy post done (which ended up being mentioned on the Craft blog, if you don't mind me boasting a wee bit, he he) which is about Star Wars embroidery.

Well, these are the sewing projects I made yesterday. Two tote bags. I've never made a tote bag before, and I think I made the straps too long. But that is fairly easily solved and other than this I'm pretty happy with them.

The blue one is made from a tea towel from Windsor Castle. My friend worked there last year and gave it to me. It's been in my stash for a while; I knew I wanted to make something with it - and not merely wipe dishes - I just didn't know what.

The red and green one is also a tea towel, but from IKEA. It is extra special because it has a pocket! I don't know why, but I really like making pockets.

Close up of the Castle tote. I love blue and white together.
