What did you have for lunch?

This is my lunch today: slice of toasted bread with butter (Lurpak! Go Denmark!) and leftover couscous + peas & sweetcorn with a dollop of sour cream.

If you read blog posts about what to write about in blog posts you are usually encouraged in not writing about what you had for lunch today. I wonder why? I suppose it is kinda boring, but then again, it isn't. Because I think it is nice to stop and notice these small things. These little forgotten moments of life. Maybe looking back at a post about your lunch you will remember that exact day, how the food tasted, what noises you could hear outside. Things like that. And maybe that is worth sharing after all?

And now that my stomach is full, I'm going to go down to the river with my watercolours and my embroidery and spend a couple of hours in the sunshine listening to the Thames and the birds and the wind in the willows trees.
