Embroidered iron
I made another embroidery based on a blind contour drawing. This time it's our iron -and not the kettle, but I am working on that one! - and I think it's turned out pretty cute. I like the pink on the white/pale blue background.
I just love making these pieces, it makes me think of appliances and the like in a new way. In a "what else can I turn into an embroidered picture" way. Every day life is a big inspiration for me. The simple things, you know?
Every day life isn't perfect and I like the things I make to reflect that; it's made by a human being and I think that's what gives art and craft life...Labels: embroidery, thinking
