Fishing line

I think I've realised that I need to feel connected to the landscape surrounding me. But here the landscape is different. There's no... I dunno..instinctive familiarity with it. If that makes any sense.

But today, when I was taking that stroll, I felt like I knew the river. There is a familiarity in the big bend of the river that we live by. And in the sight of the big ships, and the traffic on the arc of the QE2 bridge.

I think I'm rambling a bit here...

Anyway, I saw these bits of fishing line tied to the rail along the water. Must be the anglers leaving it behind. I wonder why... In any case, it looked very sculptural and just begged to be photographed.
