Wet and windy

Howdy bloglander folk.

To fulfill the stereotype it has been raining here in the north of England for 3 days, i don't mind the rain personally, but the English in general love nothing better than compaining about the weather, in the last few weeks when it was hot and sunny a lot of people I know went round moaning that it was too hot, now that it's cold and rainy they are all moaning that aboput how crappy the weather is and that all it does is rain here...

How quickly they forget the last 2 months of damn good weather and talks of hose pipe bans...

Anyhow, one good thing about rain is that it has arrived just in time for the hoard of baby frogs currently looking to move out of the pond in my back garden.

On monday, after an afternoon of rain, i was in the garden and the area around the pond was hopping (literally) with frogs, little baby frogs just a few centimeters long, it looked like baby frog schools first day out, they were all hopping in random directions as if they just wanted to test out their hopping abilities...

I found it all very amusing, and quite rewarding, i have had a fasination with frogs since being a small boy, the whole spawn to tadpole to frog thing amazed me.
So i have spent the summer checking up on them, making sure the pond had enough water in and that the foliage didn't get to tangly for them. And now they are all making their first tentative hops out into the bigger garden...

One small step for a man, one giant hop for frog kind :)

Good luck to the frogs i say, happy hopping ;)

(Flower, dear, how would you like to do a frog related painting, in honor of the frogs in my garden?? ;))
