Serving suggestion

Wardi presents guestblogger

Ok, so i was in my local ASDA the other day and i bought a tin of tuna, and as i was in the queue (it was a fish type queue i think Flower ;)) to pay for my tuna i was reading the blurb on the tin.

On the side of the tin was a picture; one piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato and a slice of cucumber, somebody had opened a tin of tuna and turned it out sandcaslte style onto this small selection of salad and under this picture in bold letters was the phrase "Serving suggestion"
Can you think of a crappier serving suggestion than this??

Now, i don't know if packaging in other countries has this terrible affliction that we have here in England(Flower you can go to ASDA and have a look for yourself :)) , but most food packaging has a really crappy serving suggestion picture on it which usually involves whatever's in the tin (or packet) being tipped out of the tin (or packet) on to a plate!! Inspired, eh?

There is a custard packet which has a particularly inspired "serving suggestion"...
It shows the custard poured out into...

Wait for it...

Wait...

You'll never guess what... into a bowl!! How did they ever think that one up??

Why bother with the "serving suggestion" bit?? Just leave it as nice colourful picture showing whatever's inside the tin, nobody ever, in the whole history of mankind(and womankind too) will ever follow the "serving suggestions", we have way more imagination than that...

(by the way, it also said on the side of the tuna tin that it was "dolphin friendly"!! How in the hell would they know that this tuna in this tin was friendly with any dolphins??? Pure speculation if you ask me!!!))

They just write what they bloody well want on these tins don't they???
