The lime of your life...

Well, stencil me happy!

Ok...
Flower told me to tell you all about my Lime adventure...

So.. it was about two weeks ago and i was in the wonderful metropolitan city of Manchester having a few social drinks with some friends when along came a man in a Bacardi Tshirt with a big backpack on, he smiled at us and asked if we liked Bacardi, "Not really" we said, but he continued... saying that we could get a free drink, "Oh, yes we love Bacardi", said we, quickly changing our minds in the face of a free drink!
The nice Bacardi bloke then gave us each a lime,"Take this lime to the bar and you can exchange it for a drink" he told us. We each took a lime and saw that they had a little Bacardi sticker on them, all except mine, mine had two little Bacardi stickers!! (Actually i swopped Limes to get the one with two stickers, but i WANTED it!!)And they looked like eyes, in my hand i held a little Bacardi lime man, i looked down at him, he stared vacantly up at me, we bonded!!

The introduction of limes to our evening opened up a whole new direction, after a little bit of juggling the game became let's see if we can get the word lime into every sentence {"Quite limey tonight isn't it?","I can't believe you just said that, you really crossed the lime"}, let's see if we can change the lyrics of a song to feature the word lime {"A walk on the Lime side", " The walk of Lime", " I should be so Limey"}, let's change the title of all the films we can think of {"!War of the Limes", Star Fruit:Revenge of the Lime"," the Fantastic Lime"} hours of fun, i know, but one by one my friends succumbed to the lure of a free drink and traded their limes in.

Maybe it was because their limes only had one sticker and didn't stare accusingly back up at them when they looked at them or maybe it's just because my friends are all secret alcoholics but eventually i was the only one who still possessed his lime, i just couldn't bring my self to trade him in, i made him do little dances on the table, i made him stare at people on other tables...
And probably freaked out my friendsa little...

The little lime brought out the child in me {admittedly he isn't buried very deeply} and i couldn't bring my self to part with him, so i kept him, time has not been good to him, he isn't the fresh faced happy lime of that night anymore, in fact i think he may have turned into an evil undead lime
I suppose i'll have to throw him away soon, or maybe bury him in the garden and hope for a lime tree.

Anyhow, that's the story of the night the limes came out to play, it should be filmed and shown on TV at Christmas don't you think??
