Will I Go To Hell For This??

On Saturday I bought two items at a shop downtown. But when I came home, I found out that one of them weren't in the bag. When I had left the shop I had this..feeling that I hadn't seen the guy in the shop put both things in the carrier bag; but I didn't check it, cause I thought: hey, of course he did.

He didn't. So I called the shop, telling them: "I was in your store an hour ago and bought so and so, but now I noticed.." - "Yeah, you forgot one of the things", the person from the shop said, interrrupting me.

Anyway, yesterday I went to get the thing "I forgot". No problem.

Then I decide not to keep the other item that I bought, so I take it back. But to another branch of the same chain of shops, no reason to look more like a silly muppet than I already felt I did.

I exchange the thing, get my money back and go on my merry way. Later on I discover that the girl in the shop gave me back too much money: namely the full amount for both items on the receipot, although I only took one back.

It's only a very small amount, but in a way I feel guilty about not running back to the shop/calling them to say that YOU GAVE ME SOME MONEY I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE!

Then again, if it had been the other way around, would the shop have gone out of its way to return this, small amount of, money to me? I doubt it.

Shops don't go to Hell, do they?
