I wish I could read Chinese... Or maybe not...

This week we're doing a Japan themed project and I've pretty much got the design down. For which I needed some Japanese print. As in newspaper print. But there is no market for Japanese newspapers in this city, so I figured I'd have to settle for Chinese. - who can tell the difference anyway? ;-)

I went to a shop which sells all kinds of things that people from Asia eat, I reckoned that would be a good place to look for a paper in Chinese.

They didn't have any.

But they pointed out another shop which sells all kinds of things that people from Asia eat, and they had one! A Chinese newspaper!

So I go to pay for the paper and the guy in the shop looks at it, then says "no no, it's a free paper *pauses* *grins* it's kinda like the Jehova Witnesses' Watchtower!".

Ooooooook...

I hope it made his day, cause I felt rather foolish and I'd hate to feel foolish all for nothing! ;-)

Atleast I got a free newspaper... I wonder what it says in the paper now...
