So, I was watching Trading Up today... And they were redecorating a house (which is what they do), and in the living room the designers commented on the fact that there was no "focal point". And by that they meant that there was no fireplace. So they had their carpenter guy make a fake one.

Why must a room have a fireplace in order to have a focal point? Why can't it be something else? A painting, a plant, the telly??

Is the fireplace so essential to English interior decorating that they will make fake ones just to make the room feel "right"?

Zombie Infection Simulation v2.3. Thanks to Glory for that link. :-)

No cows today. Instead you get something that's related. Featuring George W. Bush, Al Gore, and some other guys!
